Resolve

When did you realise that danger still had its home in you?
That at your best, carnage was chief among your strengths
A little bang to remind you of what once ruled over you
The night time in minimum light
The day time passing as fast as light
This is how you survive now

You asked yourself, knuckles wrinkled in an unnatural state, blue and black eyes trying to find you and legs that can’t stand up straight
“When was I not this person?”
Fury dictating which steps to take next
Sometimes being excessive with the swinging of arms
A cold, stern stare with words of what might happen

When did you realise that danger still lived in you?
You are deserving of happiness
But you don’t know how to attain nor hold it
All you’ve ever done is rule and destroy
Years undressed in a single moment
You forgot everything that wasn’t taught to you
You forgot what you are.
