Say you will . . .

I wished upon a star that blew meteors
of your spirit straight through my thoughts
How do we explain the cosmic constellations beaming in my heart?
The Jupiter sun circling the waves of my soul?
I write words unknown to my vacant rooms in my castle of thorns,
will you cut through them to savour what remains of the green life within me?
Water my sunflowers with your purple rain
My rainbow is fifty shades of grey
Will you paint it colours of you?
Say you will . . .

To be honest the echo of your being enlivens my soul
The reality of your existence fills my jar of hopes
with fortune teller crystals that perhaps you might be mine
and walk towards the sunset with your palm clutched in mine
Say you will?
Please stay another hour

Sleepless nights, wondrous heights
You propel me being on satin wings
I script letters in your honour,
confessing to vacant audiences the voodoo you have on me
No hold backs, no fear
Stolen kisses over paint splattered canvases
and spilt ink pages that journal our paradise

TRON says there are no take backs,
do you trust that I can turn your haunted jungle into an enchanted forest?
That your night sky can light up Northern Lights of our magic . . .
No sprint, just the marathon we run hand in hand
as we seek refuge in foreign lands.
Say you will . . . won’t you?
